March 2013 Announcements

AIRPORT UPGRADES: We have repaired all the outside lights around the FBO and hanger area. It looks a lot better at night now. I am updating my hanger list on the FBO computer. Please stop by, leave your name, tail number, hanger number, aircraft type and color, address and a contact number. We will be starting our summer hours (7 AM-7 PM) shortly.

For any aircraft based at M33 that are not flown very much, we will pull your plane out, air the tires, start it and run it up to temp, dust it off a little and stow it back in the hanger for $70.00 a month. As you all know, aircraft need to be run to keep them out of trouble. Let us know if you would like this service.

Saturday March 9th will be our first 2013 flyin breakfast hosted by EAA 1343 starting at 8 AM. It will be a lot of good food, conversation and fun. I hope to see everyone here. EAA members that want to help out, show up at the Corp. hanger about 7:30 unless your cooking.

If anyone has an old (working) refrigerator, freezer or electric stove, we would be happy to take it off your hands for use with our events or breakfast. We will come and move it to the airport.

We will have our EAA meeting this month on Tuesday March 12th at 7:00 PM. We will eat at 6:30 (supplied by the EAA). We don’t have a speaker at this time but I’m sure something will come up. If not, you can all listen to me. We will have some good food and fun anyhow.

Our MID TENN WARBIRD FLYIN is going to be May 18th 2013. I have attached a flyer to promote this event for pilots and the public. I have received several confirmations from Warbirds. This should be a good time for the flying community and public to see these old birds.

Our EAA STEAMPLANT FLYIN AND EXPO will be on Saturday June 22nd. More information and flyer will be coming next month.

Our motto here at GTO Aviation is FOOD  FLYING  FAMILY  FUN  and that’s exactly what we do. Thank you for all your support and we hope to make this year a good and SAFE one for everyone at Sumner County Regional Airport.
